Glad to be back in touch. This is the last week to enter the Honor the Gift giveaway… so don’t sleep on it! I hope everyone’s kicking back this month before the big transition to autumn. We all know that’s when things get crazy again.

Quick Take
Back To School

School is back in session and that means classic, preppy outfits will be too. There’s nothing like laying your first-day-of-school outfit out and making sure you’re dressed to impress — whether you’re walking down the hallways or hitting the court. To this day, I still love to pop a collar or wear a structured pant as summer moves into fall, reminiscent of days when I’d be in classes before practice. And though they aren’t as formal as stereotypical preppy school clothes, hoodies, crisp tees, and sneakers always add a nice dose of cool to the first semester fall season.

Tunnel Fits
This Week’s Top 4 Tunnel Fits

We’re changing it up this week. It’s my turn to reflect on some of my tunnel fits from this past season. Let me know which one was your favorite, or if I’m missing one you want more details on.
This here is one of my top two Honor the Gift looks this season. The shirt says it all. Such tough times for everyone in Los Angeles with the fires, so we decided to make shirts whose proceeds go to families in need. This is probably my favorite and most impactful look of the season. I also got to wear this in Los Angeles as well, which made it extra special.
This is probably one of my top two favorites for the season. Yes, Canadian tuxedos are great (and as ya’ll probably know I love to wear them), but it was Noah’s idea. He wanted to wear denim. It was great to have the family out in Denver, so this is one of my favorite times of the year and one of my favorite looks. Go Noah!
The sweatshirt says it all: Inner City Creative. It’s amazing. Very, very well put together. Love it. Love the kilt. More kilts coming next season.
I remember putting this look together. I just love all the colors mixed together, the bag, the hat, the glasses, the gloves. Everything is very simple, but very good. And as you know, every fit is from Honor the Gift, which is very unique to get to wear your own brand every game. Nothing like it.

Trend Watch
Sustainable Materials

The most hip you can be is earth conscious while rocking a good fit. These days, clothing textiles are made out of a range of sustainable materials, including:
Organic cotton
Hemp
Linen
Bamboo
Recycled polyester (made from recycled plastic waste, like bottles)
Tencel (made from wood pulp)
Piñatex (made from pineapple leaf fibers as a leather alternative)
Keep an eye out for these materials the next time you catch yourself shopping for something new, so you can look and feel good!

Elevate Your Game
How To Make Daytime Pajamas Chic
Sometimes, a casual, off-duty look is the best way to send the message that you don’t have to try too hard to get fly. I know it sounds tricky, but wearing stylish pajamas during the day for some quick errands are a great way to be comfortable and look unique. As long as you add some jewelry or accessorize in other ways. Oh, and wear appropriate shoes (I draw the line at wearing slippers with daytime PJs), so your outfit will be anything but a snooze.

Giving Back To Altadena After January’s Wildfires
Earlier this month, I hosted a free day of basketball camp for kids in Altadena who were impacted by the Eaton Fire in January. Through my Why Not? Foundation, I wanted to create an opportunity for kids to engage in a three-day event that sparked joy and brought the community together, especially considering how many families were displaced. We had a great weekend of basketball together, and I’m excited to keep serving the youth as the year continues on.
