Hey y’all!
Happy August! I hope this finds y’all well. It’s been a relaxing last couple weeks, personally speaking and because it’s been a little quieter in the fashion world. I hope you all are getting some good sunshine and decompression time in, too.
Don’t forget we’ve got a raffle for the chance to win Honor the Gift items still going on. Enter for your chance to win! #WhyNot

Quick Take
What Inspired My Love of Fashion

A big part of the reason I wanted to start this newsletter in the first place is to have a place to share my deep love of fashion, which I consider one of the most amazing ways we have to express ourselves creatively in the world.
I’m honored that I’ve been referred to by some as the “king of NBA style,” because my outfits are something I take serious pride in!
Here are some of the things that inspire me fashion-wise:
Basketball. I love the game and love that it allows me the space to explore another passion, which is fashion. Both are valid ways of expressing yourself.
Business. Fashion is about style, but it’s also about dollars and cents. I love learning about different brands and how they market themselves and stay trendy with consumers.
My mom. She’s my day one style icon. She always kept every member in our family looking fresh when I was growing up, and I really appreciate that about her. She’s still the flyest.
When it comes to clothes, I love switching it up, wearing things people don’t expect, and challenging myself to think outside of the box. How about you?

Tunnel Fits
This Week’s Top 4 Tunnel Fits

Skylar Diggins
Love a matching set, can never go wrong in one. This one has a little flare. Skylar has been killing it all year long. Love this set. The shorts and trench coat vibe is great.
DeAndre Yedlin
I love this look. Very where is Waldo-esque. Very high fashion. The hat tops it all off. Great look overall and it’s probably my favorite look of the week.
Croix Bethune
Very cute and classy. The sweater is amazing. Brings out every other part of the look, every color. Great look. And I love the ponytail.
Cameron Brink
I love this for Cameron. Everything about it I love. Particularly the boots and the bag. Just looks great and solid overall. Good luck to her and happy to see her back out there.

Trend Watch
The Polo Shirt Renaissance

Even though school’s out for summer, it’s always in style to sport a clean, preppy look fit for campus. Lately, polo shirts have been experiencing a renaissance and I’m all for it – especially ones that are striped. Whether you’re spending your day by a body of water, at work, or a weekend get together, a relaxed, collared polo is always a good look.

Final Whistle
Los Angeles in London
It’s no secret that there’s news about where I’ll end up on the horizon, and I appreciate y'all's interest… but just hold tight, there’s more to come.
In the meantime, I had a great time in London at the Kendrick Lamar show — seeing a fellow Angeleno take the stage with such confidence and style reminded me why I love my city and the way we do things in the WEST! There was so much LA pride in the stadium, even internationally. At the end of the day there’s no place like home.
